Following the death of His Holiness Pope Francis on 21 April 2015, it is announced that the Eucharistic Celebration and the Rite of canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, scheduled to take place on 27 April 2025, Second Sunday of Easter or Divine Mercy Sunday, on the occasion of the Jubilee of Teenagers, is suspended.

During the General Congregation held on 22 April ,the College of Cardinals  has decided to suspend all scheduled Beatifications until a decision of the new Roman Pontiff is made.
