Following the death of His Holiness Pope Francis on 21 April
2015, it was announced that the Eucharistic Celebration and the Rite
of canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, scheduled to take place on
27 April 2025, Second Sunday of Easter or Divine Mercy Sunday, on
the occasion of the Jubilee of Teenagers, had been postponed.
During the General Congregation held on 22
April ,the College of Cardinals has decided to postpone all
previously scheduled Beatifications in 2025 until a decision of the
new Roman Pontiff is made.
